About

What this is

A searchable version of New York City’s public pied-à-terre tax list.

The list

On July 24, 2026, NYC Department of Finance published a supplemental market value roll related to the annual non-primary residence property surcharge — the pied-à-terre tax on second homes.

I had a hard time finding the real list. It lived buried as compressed ZIP files of CSVs on the assessments page, so I built this site to make it searchable for everyone.

What’s included

Properties at the surcharge value thresholds published with the roll:

  • 1–3 family homes valued at $5 million or more
  • Condos and co-ops valued at $1 million or more

Some co-op rows reflect whole-building market values, not individual units.

Important

Inclusion on this roll does not mean a property will be subject to the non-primary residence surcharge. Only properties that receive official notification from NYC DOF may have the surcharge applied.
